Learn about the SLO Days Sessions
Mandatory for all students
Transfer SLO Days is structured in two required parts to ensure all incoming transfer students receive essential information, connect with campus resources, and begin building community as they start their Cal Poly journey.
Students will complete Part 1 either virtually or in person.
- Virtual Session: July 23; Thursday
- In-Person Session: July 24-25; Friday-Saturday
Transfer SLO Days Part 1 - either July 23 (virtual) or July 24-25 (in-person)
Transfer SLO Days Part 2 - either August 5 or August 6. Your session date is determined by your major. This session is completely virtual. The whole day is mandatory to ensure all transfer students are properly prepared to register for classes the following week.

In the morning, students will hear from the Transfer Center, University Advising, and the Office of the Registrar. After a lunch break, students meet with their academic college advisors.

Learn about the Transfer Center
Transfer Center One-Sheet. The Cal Poly Transfer Center opened in January 2020 thanks to advocacy from students, the Association of Transfer Students, and advisors for the 6 colleges. Funding for the Transfer Center was provided by the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025.
