Transfer Summer Series

Calling all incoming Transfer Mustangs! 

Join us for a weekly presentation from a campus partner and learn more about Cal Poly and San Luis Obispo!  

Each Wednesday, various campus partners will present on their department's services as to supplement what you will learn at SLO Days. Each session will also feature a Q&A, where you can get your burning questions answered by current students and campus partners! 

All sessions use the same zoom link.

Get Ready for Your SLO Days Session

Transfer SLO Days are virtual one-day sessions on Aug. 10 and Aug. 11. Your session date is determined by your major — please see below to learn more!

Virtual Transfer SLO Days Schedule

Students and Supporters use the same Zoom webinar link from  8:30–11:30 a.m.

A Zoom webinar link will be sent to each registrant about two weeks prior to attending their session.

9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Welcome to Cal Poly and SLO Days: Official welcome to start the day.
9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Journey to Academic Success — Transfer Center & University Advising
10:15 a.m. – 10:30 a.m Wellness Break: 15-minute break to step away from the screen
10:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m Navigate Key Advising Tools with team from Office of the Registrar
11:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m

Lunch Break with Transfer Connect by Identity

Take a lunch break with other students or campus resource representatives. 

Supporters will have their own connection group to join. 

Zoom links will be provided on the day of the session. 

12:20 p.m. – 12:30p.m. Wellness Break: 10-minute break to step away from the screen
12:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Parents and Supporters are Welcome

Friends, family, and supporters can join students via our supporter track. We provide programming geared toward supporting you and your student through their transition to Cal Poly.

Please register only two supporters 14 business days prior to the registered SLO Days session. Failure to register and submit your payment prior will result in the supporter not receiving access to the SLO Days event.

Special Programs

Educational Opportunity Program  

Learn more about Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) here. 

  • Students accepted into EOP are expected to attend a designated SLO Days session. All selected participants will only be able to sign-up for these mandatory dates. For any questions regarding this, please contact EOP at eop@calpoly.edu
  • If you have declined participation in EOP, please log back into your orientation account to find any incurred fees. This information can be accessed through the "Orientation Events" tab in your MyCalPoly Portal. A new price for SLO Days will be reflected in your account.  
  • Please note: This is an application-based program. All participants must have already applied to the Educational Opportunity Program though Cal State Apply and received acceptance. Students unsure of their status in EOP should check their email for notification or reach out to the program directly at eop@calpoly.edu
