Learn about the SLO Days Sessions
Mandatory for all students
As part one of your Cal Poly orientation, Transfer SLO Days are virtual one-day sessions designed to prepare you for the academic life of a Mustang. Your session date is determined by your major and will either be Aug. 9 or Aug. 10.
The whole day is mandatory to ensure all transfer students are properly prepared to register for classes the following week.

8:30 am - 9:00 am Check-in (time to log on and get settled)
9:00 am - 9:30 am Welcome to Cal Poly and SLO Days
9:30 am - 10:15 am Journey to Academic Success
10:15 am - 10:30 am Wellness Break
10:30 am - 11:30 am Registrar's Office
11:30 am - 12:20 am Lunch Break with Transfer Connect by Identity (Student Session)
11:30 am - 12:20 pm Supporting your Student (Supporter Session)
12:20 pm - 12:30 pm Break
12:30 pm - 5:00 pm College Advising Breakout Sessions
On the day of your session, the first presentation will start at 9 a.m. on the main webinar link. The help desk Zoom link and main webinar link will open at 8:30 a.m. Links will be provided to registered students and supporters via email two weeks before the session.
In the morning, students will hear from the Transfer Center, University Advising, and the Office of the Registrar. After a lunch break, students meet with their academic college advisors.

Learn about the Transfer Center
Transfer Center One-Sheet. The Cal Poly Transfer Center opened in January 2020 thanks to advocacy from students, the Association of Transfer Students, and advisors for the 6 colleges. Funding for the Transfer Center was provided by the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025.
