Mandatory for all students

Transfer SLO Days is set up in two parts to give transfer all the necessary information and to build community as they start their Cal Poly journey.

Transfer SLO Days Part 1 - either July 26 (virtual) or July 27 (in-person)

Transfer SLO Days Part 2 - either August 7 or August 8. Your session date is determined by your major. This session is complete virtual. The whole day is mandatory to ensure all transfer students are properly prepared to register for classes the following week.

8:30 am - 9:00 am      Check-in (time to log on and get settled)
9:00 am - 9:45 am      Welcome & Journey to Academic Success
9:45 am - 10:00 am    Break
10:00 am - 11:00 am  Registrar
11:00 am - 11:30 am  Lunch
11:30 am - 5:00 pm  College Advising Breakout Sessions

On the day of your session, the first presentation will start at 9 a.m. on the main webinar link. The help desk Zoom link and main webinar link will open at 8:30 a.m. Links will be provided to registered students and supporters via email two weeks before the session. 

In the morning, students will hear from the Transfer Center, University Advising, and the Office of the Registrar. After a lunch break, students meet with their academic college advisors.

Transfer Center One-SheetThe Cal Poly Transfer Center opened in January 2020 thanks to advocacy from students, the Association of Transfer Students, and advisors for the 6 colleges. Funding for the Transfer Center was provided by the CSU Graduation Initiative 2025.
