The WOW Experience for Transfer Students

Three photos of students during Week of Welcome at Spanos Stadium, in the UU during the Cross-Cultural Experience and finding their groups on the Sports Complex fields.Incoming transfer student have two options to experience WOW: through a small group setting like the first-year experience, or through the Cross-Cultural Experience programming.

Option 1: Small Group Experience

Navigate WOW in a group setting. Attend various presentations and activities as a group, led by two orientation leaders who will plan out a fun schedule for the whole week. The group experience is open to transfer students living on or off campus.

Option 2: Cross-Cultural Experience (CCE)

This is also offered in a small group setting. Students that identify as a member of an underrepresented group can find community through activities, workshops, discussion and a multicultural resource fair, all centering the voices of underrepresented students at Cal Poly. You’ll be connected to resources and communities that will help you succeed as a Mustang. Underrepresented groups include but are not limited to various racial and ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, sexual orientations, and economic class.
