Orientation for Transfer Students
All new Cal Poly Maritime Academy students will move in Aug. 17 and participate in Maritime Orientation from Aug. 18-23.
Incoming transfer students will also attend a virtual SLO Days event on Thursday, Aug. 6, which is part of Cal Poly's orientation experience.
SLO Days Virtual Session
This virtual session will provide an overview of key campus resources, opportunities and support services to help you successfully transition to campus life at Cal Poly Maritime Academy.
You will also meet with your college advisors to prepare for class registration and your first semester at Cal Poly Maritime Academy. This step is essential to ensure you understand your academic path and feel confident moving forward.
You will be assigned to meet with an advisor based on your major, which includes:
- MET — Marine Engineering Technology
- FET — Facilities Engineering Technology
- MT — Marine Transportation
- OCN — Oceanography
- ISS — International Strategy and Security
- BA SCM — Business Administration — Supply Chain Management Concentration
- ME Gen — Mechanical Engineering — General Curriculum
- ME Lic — Mechanical Engineering — U.S. Coast Guard Concentration

What to Bring
- A device capable of running Zoom.
- Your Cal Poly username and password.
